About Me

Welcome to the design & research website of Nathan Prestopnik.

I am an Associate Professor in the Virtual Reality Design Program at Shenandoah University. I study VR and interactive experience design, serious games, and gamification with an artistic, human-computer interaction (HCI) mindset.

I earned my Ph.D. in Information Science at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies in April 2013. I also hold dual bachelor degrees in film production and history (focusing especially on military history), an M.S. in New Media, and an M.Phil. in Information Science.

Before embarking on an academic career, I was a creative artist, interactive developer, and user experience designer in Los Angeles, CA, Clifton Park, NY, and Syracuse, NY.

Feel free to contact me or see my CV.
